Mortgage rates started falling after the Federal Reserve aided the U.S. housing market by purchasing up to $600 billion of mortgage related securities and other debt issued by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Federal Home Loan Banks. Freddie Mac reported Thursday that average rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages dropped to 5.47 percent, down from 5.53 last week. The rate is slightly below this year’s previous low of 5.48 percent during the week of Jan. 24, and the lowest since March 25, 2004, when it averaged 5.40 percent. The Lake City Braves won the “Pigskin Tournament,” held Thanksgiving weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada! Kiel Mortgage sends out a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all of the boys who played their hearts out and had an amazing end to an INCREDIBLE season! Senior Loan Officer, Nancy Watt has an Amazingly Giving Spirit!!

Senior Loan Officer, Nancy Watt, has an amazingly giving spirit and a beautiful servant heart! She demonstrates this by organizing clothing drives throughout the year! The clothing is taken to the streets of Seattle with the help of a local ministry group. Coupled with homemade sandwiches, muffins, hot chocolate and cookies it sends a message that hope and inspiration exists and goes along way to warming hearts and uplifting spirits. Nancy is also instrumental in an adopt a family program during the holidays. Kiel Mortgage employees buy presents for children that would otherwise not have a gift under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. Nancy’s efforts have helped hundreds of children and adults over the last ten years of her spearheading efforts! Senior Loan Officer, Nicole Martin, was the recipient of the “Star Award,” for her amazing commitment to providing high quality customer service to her clients and her high level of productivity for the first half of November!! Nicole’s enthusiastic approach to the lending process and to life makes her a true joy to be around!
