The Braves who play in the Northwest Junior Football League were undefeated this year with an impressive 7-0 season. The players have a unique opportunity to journey to Las Vegas, Nevada for a “Pigskin Tournament” over the Thanksgiving holiday. HUD allocates nearly $4 Billion to stabilize neighborhoods in high foreclosure rate areas

U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Steve Preston, has allocated a total of $3.92 billion to all states and particularly hard-hit areas trying to respond to the effects of high foreclosures. HUD’s new Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) will provide targeted emergency assistance to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sites of abandonment and blight within their community. CEEL Study: Amidst economic crisis, more than eight in 10 congressmen have no background in economics or business

A center for Economic and Entrepreneurial Literacy (CEEL) analysis for economic education among congressional members revealed that less than 15 percent of current members have degrees in the business, economics, or finance fields. The research showed that 30.5 percent of congressional members studied politics and government, while 18.1 percent majored in humanities.
